I discovered yoga nearly 20 years ago when my grandmother handed me Robert Hittleman’s 28-Day Yoga Program. But my practice began in earnest in 2010 when I bought a 60-day unlimited package at a small studio near my job. At the time, I was a magazine editor, and despite living my dreams, I was stressed out, unhealthy and unhappy.
This 60-day pass became a gateway to a regular yoga practice and when that pass expired, I found my way to a CorePower Yoga studio in Huntington Beach where I discovered an empowering community, and a practice that helped me find balance and strength — physically, mentally, and emotionally as well. And it was at CorePower where I first heard the call to become a yoga teacher.
I earned my 600-hour certification at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, where I received a well-rounded education and developed a passion for leading a strong and grounded yoga practice. I am also trained in Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga, a style that focuses on connecting to your deepest center and building each posture from the ground up, for safe and anatomically sound movement.
My mission is to make yoga accessible for all levels, by dispelling the myth that yoga is for the already flexible and strong. My classes offer lots of options and modifications that empower you to make sustainable progress, and connect to your own inner and outer strength.
I teach a variety of styles including Power Vinyasa, Hot Power Fusion, Core Strength Vinyasa, Yoga HiiT and Yin, at several locations in the East Valley.
